- Clean and slice or quarter the mushrooms.
- Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the mushrooms to the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and tender.
- If using, add white wine or chicken broth and let it simmer until mostly evaporated.
- Stir in fresh parsley.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
