Ingredients
  

  • 2½ cups (313g) all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks / 226g) unsalted butter, softened to cool room temperature
  • ¾ cup (150g) packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (roughly 20-22 cookies) Oreo cookies, coarsely chopped

Method

  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and sea salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Gently fold in the chopped Oreo cookies.
  7. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  9. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
  10. Bake until the edges are golden, then allow them to cool on the baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack.
